Pre-Symposium Workshops

Four workshops presented by B.Braun, Fresenius Medical Care, Gambro and Technology Management Solutions, provide opportunities for technicians to gain in-depth knowledge about each company’s products and dialysis services. Two additional half-day workshops provide CPR certification and review opportunities.

There is a $15 charge to attend each workshop, which includes refreshment breaks (but not lunch). To ensure your participation, you must pre-register for these workshops.

They will start at 8:00 am and end at 4:00 pm, with a break for lunch.

This workshop will provide insight into how to troubleshoot the 2008K machine and review of common problems and how to avoid having them happen.

Industry Trends in Water Purification for Dialysis by Richard Benner, CWSIII, Gambro Renal Products

Industry trends that impact dialysis will be discussed, including bundling of medications, enhanced standards for water and performance-based reimbursement. Components of a water treatment system and new advances in water purification will be covered. How water quality plays an essential role in these new trends will be reviewed.

This workshop will provide insight to dramatically improve business processes while increasing the safety of patients. During the morning session of this workshop, the focus is on inventory and equipment maintenance management.
