NNCC and NANT are offering a Career Mobility Scholarship to a technician that has earned their CCHT certification and enrolled in either a formal dialysis program that will lead to a degree or an accredited program that will lead to a degree in the field of nephrology and/or health sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Current full member of NANT, having been a member for a minimum of the one year as of the awards/scholarship application deadline date.
  2. Accepted or enrolled in either a formal dialysis program that will lead to a degree or an accredited program that will lead to a degree in the field of nephrology and/or nursing sciences.
  3. Actively involved in the field of nephrology.
  4. The applicant must hold a current credential as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) administered by the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC).

The completed application must include:

  1. Documentation that eligibility criteria have been fulfilled.
  2. Certified transcript(s) of the applicant's academic records.
  3. A letter from the academic institution confirming the acceptance of the candidate into a course of full-time or part time study to begin no later than 3 months following the receipt of the award.
  4. Three letters of recommendation from persons who can comment on the applicant's ability. Each recommender must mail the completed form directly to the NANT National Office.

Applicant must provide written documentation (an essay of 250 words or less) of career/education goals to include:

  1. How degree will apply to the field of nephrology and/or nursing sciences.
  2. Time frame for completion of program.
  3. Application of acquired funds to meet educational needs

Submission of Application and Supporting Material

The application with supporting documentation is to be sent to NANT, PO Box 2307, Dayton, OH 45401-2307 or faxed to 937.586.3699. Each Page must have the applicant's name at the top. NANT is not responsible for organizing your application - please submit all documentation at one time.

Deadline for application and all supporting material: 1 August

Candidate will be notified by 1 September.

Letters of Recommendation

You must have three separate letters of recommendation from people who can comment on your ability. Please note the names of these individuals on your application form; however, they must mail these letters directly to NANT. Please have them note on their letter that this is supporting your application for the NNCC/NANT Mobility Scholarship.
