Who in the kidney community deserves to be recognized for making a difference?
AAKP is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2027 Medal of Excellence Award, an honor created to recognize healthcare professionals whose dedication, leadership, and contributions have had a lasting impact on people affected by kidney disease.
Because this award is led by kidney patients, it recognizes more than clinical expertise. It celebrates those who listen to and advocate for patients, embrace innovation, expand treatment options, and help ensure that patients have a meaningful voice in their care.
The Medal of Excellence is open to nominations for healthcare professionals across the kidney community, including nephrologists, transplant surgeons, nurses, social workers, dietitians, dialysis technicians, and other care professionals who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to kidney patients and their families.
We invite you to nominate someone whose work deserves to be recognized. Self-nominations are also welcome. All nominations must be received by December 10th to be considered. Nominations will be reviewed by a selection panel.
